Around a decade ago, a group of enthusiastic Swedish casino players set out to revolutionize the gambling industry. To achieve that, they launched Quickspin, a game developer with the most recent game technologies. A few years later, Quickspin is already competing toe-to-toe with industry-leading names if the "Company of the Year 2021" accolade at WIG Diversity Awards is anything to go by.
Quickspin was voted the "Company of the Year" at the WIG Diversity Awards. This accolade recognizes the company's efforts to foster a friendly working environment. Quickspin was lauded for welcoming their employees as family and creating a diverse workplace with 30 different nationalities. The judges also highlighted the company's focus on equal pay and benefits for parents.
But that's not all. Quickspin scored highly in equal gender representation, which most organizations struggle with. The panel lauded the company's efforts to employ men and women in equal numbers. They went ahead to highlight Quickspin's recruitment policy as fair and open-to-all. Now, this is a dream company for any serious employee out there and also for live casinos to be working with them.
Quickspin's Chief People Officer, Sandra Lindberg, was quick to say something about the award and her team's work to get this outstanding recognition.
She said, "At Quickspin, we always say we're a family – The Quickspin family. To proudly be able to say the company is a family sets a few demands on us: Every single Quickspin employee must feel safe and appreciated for them to agree on this statement. Lucky us, we truly feel we've succeeded. Quickspin has managed to create a diverse workforce with almost 30 different nationalities, that for example has equal salaries and parental benefits between genders, and in general – a strong focus on inclusion and zero discrimination."
Lindberg also added that the company strongly believes in a diverse workplace with a fair culture. She noted that the aim is to create a working culture where every employee feels involved and proud of. In a parting shot, Lindberg commented that she's proud of what the company is today and the hard work they've put in to be honored as the "Company of the Year." Congratulations from the LiveCasinoRank team!
Quickspin was also honored to receive other nominations in the competitive Women in Gaming Diversity Awards 2021. Six of the company's top female employees were nominated to duke it out with competition from other developers. This is the eleventh anniversary of the WIG (Women in Gaming) Awards.
Here's the complete list:
Unfortunately, none of the nominees scooped the much-coveted awards in their respective categories. But the fact that they got recognition for their hard work is a significant motivation going forward.
WIG Diversity Awards is a colorful ceremony held every year to recognize the tremendous input by women in the gaming industry. It offers a superb opportunity for employers to appreciate diversity and wellbeing in their organizations.
This ceremony couldn't have come at a better time, especially now that the world is still emerging from the dark tunnel. Companies and staff are struggling to evaluate the best work-life balance. And with Quickspin scooping the Company of the Year award, it's evident that a new era is emerging in the iGaming space.
