Online live casino content aggregators worldwide always want to join new regulated markets. That is the case with SA Gaming, which recently announced that it had secured a supplier license from Gaming Curacao.

SA Gaming Secures Curacao Gaming License

On February 2, 2023, the Asian-based live casino software provider announced that it had been given a Curacao gaming license. This is a significant milestone for the company, considering the Curacao license is a reliable iGaming certificate, alongside the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) and Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

Following the approval, SA Gaming will collaborate with several top live casino operators already holding certification from the Caribbean island. Players from this region will now access the developer’s world-class live titles, like Pok Deng, Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger, Sic Bo, Blackjack, Roulette, and Speed Baccarat.

In a press release, SA Gaming hailed the approvals saying that it shows their "content is now in line with the standards of other jurisdictions." It is vital to note that most operators use the Curacao license to accept players from outside Europe. So, if everything goes as planned, SA Gaming’s titles will reach a wider audience at the best online live casinos than they intended.

A Word of Caution

But although SA Gaming is raving about the latest development, even referring to the Gaming Curacao license as one of the most reputable licensing organizations worldwide, some suppliers and operators can view the license a little differently.

Recently, the Curacao license has come under fire, especially from Dutch players, who complain about loose licensing policies. Some players complain that the permit allows some live casinos to specifically target Dutch players, meaning the license may have lost its appeal in countries like the Netherlands.

As a result of the complaints, the Dutch government eventually threatened to stop providing subsidies to the island country unless it updated its iGaming regulatory framework. It’s to be noted that Curacao heavily depends on the Dutch government for aid. But of course, SA Gaming already knows most of these issues, and getting another license is an effort worth commending.
